As a training, media and digital company that has employed many northern women and ladies for more than 10 years, we have seen first hand, the strength, wisdom and intellect of the Arewa Woman and we are grateful for this. We therefore decided to build a platform for the Northern Woman and expand the knowledge and training we give to few to reach thousands and millions out there. Then we also asked ourselves, how can our mothers, grandmothers, career women, female entrepreneurs, women coaches, community leaders transfer their skills and knowledge to, not just their daughters, but to other girls and women across the North? LOREWA was born. But how did the name come about? LORE + AREWA = LOREWA. LORE according to Oxford Dictionary means - a body of traditions and knowledge on a subject or held by a particular group, typically passed from person to person by word of mouth. And of course, AREWA refers to the North. So you see, Lorewa was deliberately created for us. Anytime and anywhere you see LOREWA, just remember, this is our platform and it means Digital Learning for the Arewa Woman, to teach and learn. May we also mention that this Lorewa Platform, the very pretty Logo, the courses, the entire work was built by Arewa Women, of course we had a few guys on the team and some of our neighbors and friends from other parts of Nigeria, but we the Arewa Women were more than 90%. It's been an uphill task, but we continue to show the world that the Arewa Woman's potential is limitless. With this platform, we look forward to connecting learners, mothers, daughters, neighbors, friends and communities. If you can teach something, someone out there needs that knowledge for a better life and a better career.
